FAQ

  • I turn up about 20-30 minutes earlier to set up my equipment.

I use a list for people to add their names to if they want a portrait. I draw live as guests are posing for me. Alternatively I can take photos of the guests as references to work from if they are uncomfortable posing or just want to carry on with the event.

Finished portraits can be either collected then and there or displayed in a dedicated area (table or wall) for the guests to collect at the end of the event.

  • I paint on A4 (full height) or A5 (head and shoulders) 300 gsm hot press acid free watercolour paper. It means the paper is very thick, smooth and won't discolour over time.

My watercolour paint is professional grade Schmincke Horadam which won't lose it's brightness and won't fade (unless exposed to direct sunlight).

  • Contact me via the contact form, my email or WhatsApp with all the details of the date, time, venue, number of hours you'd like me booked for, and I will get back to you with a quote.

If you’re happy with the quote, I send over a deposit invoice which secures the booking. It's a 20% non-refundable deposit.

2 weeks before the event I will send you the balance invoice, and we discuss any last details.

  • In one hour I can draw 6 people. It is an average number, which can vary from 5 to 7, depending on the complexity of their outfits.

As a guideline in one hour you can expect me to draw 6 single portraits or 3 couple portraits or 2 family portraits (2 adults, 2 children).

  • I spend 7-10 minutes per person to achieve a level of accuracy and detail I am proud of. My goal is to capture the character and likeness of the person in front of me.
